The site wikis currently run on Mediawiki, the wiki engine used for Wikipedia. There is broad community support for Mediawiki, including a robust ecosystem of third-party addons. The following is the general procedure for adding third-party modules to MediaWiki sites. Note that this may vary for individual modules.

Upgrading Drupal to the latest version is a simple process. NOTE: These instructions involve upgrading Drupal from one minor version to another (e.g. 7.2.1 to 7.2.2). THEY DO NOT cover the much more complicated process of upgrading from one major version to another (e.g. 7.2.1 to 8.2.1). Major versions of Drupal are NOT cross-compatible, and upgrades generally involve creating a new site and importing content from the old site into it.

Databases on 1and1 are handled by a separate provider on a separate server. To create and manage databases, log in to the 1and1 control panel and use the GUI.

Site backups proceed in two phases. First, archives are made of relevant files on the server, then these archives are downloaded to an external harddrive. At the time of writing (2013-06-23), this is done remotely through the use of Python's fabric library.
Server-side backups
Site backups are current done through shell scripts located in the main directory.

Completed Work
- Finished documentation of changes made to date
- Added remaining pages in policy folder to adminwiki
- Created several accounts on Adminwiki for filing SIG reports
- Looked into OAuth for new drupal site
- OAuth looks to be more for API integration - not sure we need this
- OpenID is available by default in Drupal 7, so I can simply enable this
- There is a module for Facebook login integration. It probably requires that we set up an ACL Facebook presence. Not sure if we want this.

- Made minor style changes to new site:
- Installed Admin Menu module to clean up admin interface
- Removed "Navigation" title from navigation menu
- Centered "Contact Us" block in footer
- Changed coloring of header and footer
- Added favicon
- Changed layout to make the site appear less "blog-like" - more like original Joomla! aclweb.org site
- Give prominence to most recent news item
- arrange next most-recent in two columns of two each

- created redirect links to place in .htaccess file
- made list of candidates for entry into adminwiki
- Created drupal content types for documentation and weekly reports
- set permissions to ensure these are only available to administrator accounts
- installed Content Access module to enable per-content-type permissions
