***Widening NLP Workshop 2022***

The Sixth Widening Natural Language Processing Workshop (WiNLP) will be held in conjunction with EMNLP 2022 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Since EMNLP is anticipating a hybrid format for their conference, we also anticipate our workshop will be hybrid, with both online and in-person attendees. The one-day workshop will occur during EMNLP’s workshop period, either December 7th or 8th, 2022.

The 7th Arabic Natural Language Processing Workshop (WANLP2022) will be a full-day event taking place on December 7 or 8, 2022 (in a hybrid mode). This year’s WANLP is co-located with EMNLP 2022 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The 2nd International Workshop on Natural Language Processing for Digital Humanities is co-located with AACL 2022 online. The proceedings will be published in the ACL anthology. The workshop will take place on the 24th of November 2022.

Field linguistics plays a crucial role in the development of linguistic theory and universal language modeling, as it provides uncontested, the only way to obtain structural data about the rapidly diminishing diversity of natural languages.

The Field matters workshop aims to bring together the urgent needs of field linguists and the vast community of NLP practitioners, developing up-to-date NLP tools for easier, faster, more reliable data collection and annotation.

We invite you to submit your contribution to the upcoming June 2022 Edition of the SIGIR Forum, the official newsletter of the ACM Special Interest Group on Information Retrieval (SIGIR). The SIGIR Forum consists of two issues (June, December). It serves as a medium for disseminating general information and opinions on matters of interest to the IR community, conference and workshop reports, papers and book reviews, and Ph.D. dissertation abstracts.

We are delighted to announce that ICNLSP 2022, the 5th edition of the International Conference on Natural Language and Speech Processing, hosted by DataScientia (University of Trento), will be held online, on 16-17 December 2022.
Authors are invited to present their work relevant to the topics of the conference. The following list includes the topics of ICNLSP 2022 but not limited to:

Meta AI is pleased to invite university faculty to respond to this call for research proposals for data collection using the Dynabench platform. Meta AI encourages creative submissions along the theme of “rethinking benchmarking” that leverage the Dynabench platform, with areas of interest that include, but are not limited to, the following: New tasks or benchmarks that would benefit from having a dynamic (adversarial) component, experiments that examine concrete questions about the human-and-model-in-the-loop paradigm for data collection or evaluation, proposals for moving Dynabench beyond natural language processing and/or beyond the English language. A total of 4 to 8 awards are available, in the range of $15,000 to $55,000 each, including overhead in an amount up to 40% of project costs.
