The 1st Workshop on Learning to Generate Natural Language (LGNL) invites papers of a theoretical and experimental nature on language generation and their conditional variants. The event will be co-located with ICML in Sydney, Australia. Relevant topics include (but are not limited to):

Hosted at EMNLP 2017, SCNLP encourages novel contributions that revisit the conventional NLP problems with a focus on incorporating the richness of spoken language, as well as contributions that promote cross-fertilization between statistical methods for automatic speech recognition (ASR) and NLP.

New trends of intelligent language processing systems are emerging, such as big data analysis, social network analysis, Internet of things, smart services, mobile computing, computer games, to name a few. Applications of these trends have been applied to various domains including education, travel and tourism, healthcare, among others.

We invite papers describing language technology system demonstrations, to be displayed at NAACL HLT 2016 in San Diego in June. The submission deadline is February 12.

RANLP (Recent Advances in Natural Language Processing) has established itself over the years as one of the most influential and competitive NLP conferences. The event is held biennially and grew out of the International summer schools "Contemporary topics in Computational Linguistics", which were organised for many years as training events. Selected papers from most RANLP conferences have been regularly published in a volume as part of John Benjamins’ series “Current Trends of Linguistic Research”.

The BioASQ challenge consists of two different tasks (Task 3a and Task 3b).

Every day, approximately 3000 new bio-medical articles are published on the Web. This averages to more than 2 articles every minute. In addition to the sheer amount of bio-medical information available on the Web, the variety of this information increases everyday and ranges from structured data in the form of ontologies to unstructured data in the form of documents.
