Dear ACL Members,
The ACL is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2026 Test-of-Time (ToT) Paper Awards.
The awards will recognize up to four influential papers from ACL-affiliated events held 25 and 10 years ago, specifically, up to two papers from 2001 and up to two papers from 2016.
Papers from ACL workshops in the corresponding years are also eligible.
Test-of-Time papers are those that have demonstrated lasting impact on computational linguistics, whether within a specific subarea, across subareas, or beyond the CL research community. This includes work that introduced new research directions or technologies, or provided results and resources of enduring value.
All nominations will be reviewed by the ACL Test-of-Time Award Committee, and the selected papers will be honored at ACL 2026.
