The Workshop on Empowering Justice(JUST NLP
2025) will be held on December 24, 2025,
alongside the 14th International Joint Conference on Natural Language Processing (IJCNLP) and the 4th
Asia-Pacific Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics (AACL) at IIT Bombay, Mumbai,
India.
This one-day event provides a dedicated forum for presenting and discussing recent advances in
various tasks under Legal NLP, with a special emphasis on fostering innovation, collaboration, and impactful
solutions for making justice more accessible through technology. JUST NLP 2025 seeks to broaden research
efforts to bring together AI researchers, legal scholars, and practitioners to address challenges in legal
text processing.

Submissions
We welcome:
- Archival papers :
- Long papers (up to 8 pages + references)
- Short papers (up to 4 pages + references)
Accepted papers will be peer-reviewed, presented at the workshop, and published in
the IJCNLP–AACL 2025 proceedings (ACL Anthology).
- Non-archival extended abstracts (up
to 2 pages + references): Work in progress, cross-submissions, or published results. These will be
presented (primarily as posters) but will not appear in the proceedings.

JUST NLP 2025 will host two shared tasks:

Generate abstractive
summaries of Indian court judgments in English
