IWSDS 2015
First Call For Papers
The Sixth International Workshop on Spoken Dialog System (IWSDS 2015) will be held in Busan, South Korea, on Jan 11-13, 2015. The IWSDS workshop series provides an international forum for the presentation of research and applications and for lively discussions among researchers as well as industrialists, with a special interest to the practical implementation of Spoken Dialog Systems in everyday applications. IWSDS2015 designates “Dialog System and Intelligent Assistant” as a theme of discussion.
Topics
Submission of papers in all areas of spoken dialog system is encouraged, with emphasis on the following traditional topics, but not limited to:
· Speech recognition and synthesis
· Speaker/language recognition
· Spoken language understanding
· Dialog management
· User modeling / simulation
· Evaluation of dialog system
· Multi-modality / emotion recognition from speech
· Question answering from speech
· Speech data mining
· Language resource and databases
· Machine learning for spoken dialog systems
· Educational and healthcare applications
We would also like to encourage the discussion of the following special topics:
· Personal assistant with dialog systems
· Proactive and anticipatory computing
· Dialog systems connected to knowledge base
· Big data for large scale spoken dialog system

Submission Procedure
Authors are invited to submit full-length, 8-12 page papers (long) or 4-6 page papers (short), including references, to the IWSDS 2015 web site (http://www.iwsds.org/). As usual, proceedings are to be published by Springer post conference book(Springer LNEE series, SCOPUS and other important indexed, see http://www.springer.com/series/7818).
