We invite you to submit your work to **GenAI4World: The First Workshop on Multilingual and Multicultural Generative AI Systems (COLM 2026)**.

Generative AI has the potential to enable communication and understanding across the world’s languages, cultures, and communities. However, as these systems are deployed globally, new limitations emerge across languages, modalities, and real-world usage contexts. This workshop brings together researchers, industry practitioners, and global users to investigate how we can build AI systems that better reflect and serve diverse communities. We advocate for globalization—not localization: allowing global diversity to shape the development, evaluation, and design of AI systems from the ground up.
We invite contributions on multilingual, multicultural, and multimodal generative AI, including but not limited to:
* Global AI tasks and evaluation: Rethinking benchmarks, metrics, and usability across languages, cultures, and contexts.
* Data and annotation: Understanding missing data, diverse perspectives, and responsible data practices.
* User-driven innovations and failures: Learning from real-world AI usage patterns, adaptations, and emerging vulnerabilities.
* Modeling for global understanding: Building systems that account for cultural context, identity, and cross-context communication.
* Interdisciplinary and multimodal perspectives: Connecting insights across language, vision, audio, and social sciences.

We welcome both long papers with novel research contributions (up to 8 pages) and short papers presenting preliminary studies, position papers, or emerging ideas (up to 4 pages). Accepted papers will be non-archival, and concurrent submissions are allowed. Please follow the COLM 2026 template:
