ICNLSP 2019, the third edition of the International Conference on Natural Language and Speech Processing, will be held this year at the university of Trento. ICNLSP aims to attract contributions related to natural language and speech processing in basic theories and applications as well. Regular and posters sessions will be organized, in addition to keynotes presented by senior international researchers.

Scientific knowledge is one of the greatest assets of humankind. This knowledge is recorded and disseminated in scientific publications, and the body of scientific literature is growing at an enormous rate. Automatic methods of processing and cataloguing that information are necessary for assisting scientists to navigate this vast amount of information, and for facilitating automated reasoning, discovery and decision making on that data.

The workshop addresses the increasing relevance of natural language processing (NLP) for regional, national and international economy, both in terms of already launched language technology products and systems, as well as new methodologies and techniques emerging in interaction with the paradigm of Computational Social Science. The focus of the workshop is on the many ways, how NLP alters business relations and procedures, economic transactions, and the roles of human and computational actors involved in commercial activities.
