We are pleased to invite submissions for the first Interdisciplinary Workshop on Observations of Misunderstood, Misguided and Malicious Use of Language Models (OMMM 2025). The workshop will be held with the RANLP 2025 conference in Varna, Bulgaria, on 11th, 12th, or 13th September 2025.

The Quantum AI and NLP 2025 Conference at Indiana University in Bloomington (6th-8th of August) is open for paper submissions. This is an “in-cooperation with the ACM” conference supported by the ACM Special Interest Group AI (SIGAI). Special student sessions will be announced soon.

The 12th Mid-Atlantic Student Colloquium on Speech, Language and Learning (MASC-SLL 2025) is a one day event bringing together students, postdocs, faculty and researchers from universities and industry in the Mid-Atlantic area. The colloquium is an opportunity for students and postdocs to present preliminary or completed work and to network with other researchers working in related fields.

In this workshop, we plan to gather researchers working in neural algorithmic learning, multimodal reasoning, and cognitive models of intelligence to showcase their cutting-edge research, discuss the latest challenges, as well as bring to the forefront problems in perception and language modeling that are often overlooked but are pivotal in achieving true artificial general intelligence.

The specialized Natural Language Processing master's program at UC Santa Cruz equips students with the skills and in-depth knowledge needed for a successful career in the rapidly growing NLP field. Over the past year, students have worked in teams mentored by industry experts to develop Capstone projects that address real-world NLP challenges.

The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Site at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is inviting applications for summer 2021. In our program, students will experience research and other career-enhancing activities in an interdisciplinary environment with special focus on Computational Sensing for Human-centered AI.

The REU students will receive a stipend of up to $6000, up to $600 for travel, and up to $1200 for meals. They will also stay free on campus.

The WNUT workshop focuses on Natural Language Processing applied to noisy user-generated text, such as that found in social media, online reviews, crowdsourced data, web forums, clinical records and language learner essays. This year, there will be a [shared task] on Named Entity Recognition over Wet-lab Protocols.
