The first Advanced Language Processing School will take place from Sunday, January 17th to Friday 22nd 2021.
Co-organized by LIG (Univ. Grenoble Alpes) and Naver Labs Europe, ALPS is a week-long series of lectures by world-class NLP researchers, in a small town of the French Alps during winter. The winter school will take place at l’Escandille in Autrans. Autrans is a village and a ski resort, 45mn from Grenoble, at an altitude of 1000m in the Vercors Massif.
What ALPS represents:
Advanced lectures by first class researchers. See the list of speakers here;
An atmosphere that fosters connections and interaction. All attendees and speakers will be housed in the same location, and the program includes social activities;
A poster session for attendees to present their work, gather feedback and brainstorm future work ideas;
The registration fees include accommodation, meals and transportation to/from the Grenoble train station.
The winter school is limited to 100 attendees, and targets primarily students at master level (research oriented) or PhD level. A number of places will be reserved for academics and researchers from the industry.
