We are excited to announce the new edition of the Shared Task on Clinical Text Generation at BioNLP 2024, which will be co-located with ACL 2024.

OVERVIEW

Task 1: Large-Scale Radiology Report Generation
We're introducing an exciting shared task: utilizing Natural Language Generation to transform X-ray images into clinical reports. This aims to alleviate radiologists' workload and enhance communication. Dive into our diverse datasets, including MIMIC-CXR, CheXpert, and more, totaling over 725,000 reports!

Task 2: Discharge Me!
Join us in revolutionizing discharge documentation! We present "Discharge Me!" - a shared task aimed at streamlining discharge summaries to enhance patient care and reduce clinician burnout. Utilize the MIMIC-IV dataset to automate the "Brief Hospital Course" & "Discharge Instructions" sections.
