The 5th Workshop on NLP for Conversational AI invites submissions of long and short papers, with both empirical and theoretical nature, on recent advancements on conversational artificial intelligence and its applications in the real world. The event will be co-located with ACL 2023 on July 13th or 14th, 2023. Relevant topics include (but are not limited to):

Important Dates

  • Direct submissions Due: May 1st, 2023
  • ARR submissions Due: May 8th, 2023
  • Notification of Acceptance: May 22nd, 2023
  • Camera-ready Paper Due: May 30th, 2023

Submission Guideline
We welcome two types of submission: long & short papers. Long papers may consist of up to 8 pages of content, plus unlimited pages of references. Short papers may consist of up to 4 pages of content, plus unlimited pages of references. The submission should follow the ACL 2023 style and formatting guidelines (ACL Policies for Submission, Review, and Citation). Final versions of both submission types will be given one additional page of content for addressing reviewers’ comments. The accepted papers will appear in the workshop proceedings.

Submissions can be made directly to the workshop, or alternatively done through ACL Rolling Review (submit paper with reviews, see the ARR CFP guidelines). The review will be double-blind (two-way anonymized review). Please do not include any self-identifying information in the submission. Parallel submission to other venues will NOT be accepted.
