Pierpaolo Basile is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Bari Aldo Moro since December 2021. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Bari in 2009. His research focuses on Natural Language Processing (NLP), primarily on lexical semantics and intelligent information access. He participated in international/national initiatives and projects in NLP and computational linguistics. He is a board member of the Italian Association for Computational Linguistics (AILC) and the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence. He is a co-author of several articles in international journals and conferences.
