Finances:

There has been no change in our financial position or the funds in our shadow account since the Q1 report. ACL continues to hold most of our finances, and since the ACL conference was not held in person, we have still been unable to transfer the signatories on the EACL account, which requires multiple signatures from people on various continents.

Website:

As part of the ACL Information Officer's standardization work, we have now transferred the eacl.org domain to the control of the ACL Information Officer, with the 2021 conference website using the new standard URL https://2021.eacl.org.

EACL 2021 Conference:

At present, we are still hoping to hold the conference in person in Kyiv. However, due to the current uncertainties we have delayed signing the venue contract. In the event that a hybrid or virtual conference becomes necessary, we hope to learn from the experience of ACL 2020.

The conference website and call for papers have gone out, and the programme chairs are proceeding with their plans.

The Local Organisers are still awaiting final guidance from the ACL Office about signing the PCO contract. We hope this will be forthcoming now that ACL 2020 is over.
