Simon Bozonnet obtained a diploma in electrical engineering from the INSA Lyon (France) -National Institute of Applied Sciences- in 2008 with specialization in Signal Processing in addition to a Master of Research in Images and Systems As part of his studies he spent one year at KTH -Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. He undertook his Master’s thesis at the CEA (Nuclear Energy Center, Bruyères-le-Châtel, France) where he worked on signal fusion and intelligent systems for source localization.

In October 2009 he moved to EURECOM (Sophia Antipolis, France) and joined the Multimedia Communications Departement as a Ph.D. candidate with Institut Mines TelecomParisTech. His research interests include multimedia indexing, and specifically speaker diarization. He participated in LIA-EURECOM’s recent submission to the NIST RT`09 evaluation and contributes his expertise in speaker diarization to the national ‘ACAV’ project which aims to improve web accessibility for the visually and hearing impaired, in partnership with DailyMotion. He defended his PhD thesis entitled New Insights Into Hierarchical Clustering And Linguistic Normalization For Speaker Diarization in May 2012.

From May 2012 to October 2012 he worked as a post-doc at EURECOM. He was involved in the ALIAS project which aims to make human/robot interactions easier via speaker recognition technologies in partnership with Fraunhofer IDMT.

Since October 2012 he joined OnMobile/Telisma Group as a research engineer where he has been working in Speech Recognition and Speech Understanding for automotive, robotic and home applications. He then moved to Hypercube research where he contributes to project involving ML and NLP. He is now part of Axa France Data Science Team.
