I am a computational linguistic and a software developer with more that 5 years work experience in developing Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications. I worked on statistical machine translation, question answering systems, lexicography, search engines and discourse knowledge extraction.

Currently, I am a PhD Candidate in Concordia University and work on cross-lingual discourse analysis. We plan to propose a computational model for the translation of discourse relations in parallel texts. I also worked on multi-word extraction in my master and Machine Translation in bachelor.

Beside my study, I work in Constellio as a researcher and developer. Constellio is a company that develops an open source software for the document management. My main responsibility is to improve the search functionality of the software and propose new approaches to enhance the document management. Tagging documents with thesaurus concepts, semi automatic approach to the evaluation of search engines, and the detection of near duplicate documents are some of tasks that I have done in Constellio.

I am always passionate about machine learning algorithm and their application in NLP. I also interested in contributing to the platform that facilities such an integration like GATE and UIMA.

I’m always interested in hearing from former colleagues, scientists, or just interested and creative folk, so feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect.
