I am Mehak from Pakistan, a Master's student of Languages and Mind (Linguistics and Cognitive Studies) at the University of Siena, Italy. With a strong background in Linguistics and Computational linguistics, along with experience in LLMs. Currently, I am completing my Master’s degree with an expected graduation in September 2025. My thesis, titled "Reasoning-Based Instruction Tuning of Language Models for Sindhi – A Low-Resource Language," involves the creation of the first fully annotated instruction–answer corpus for Sindhi. Additionally, I completed an Erasmus semester exchange at the University of Oslo. My research interests are building LLMs and evaluating them. During my internship at the Siena Artificial Intelligence Lab (SAI LAB), I developed Essay-Syntax-Instruct, a fine-tuning dataset aimed at improving syntactic feedback in English academic writing. I presented this work at ECAI-2024. held in Santiago de Compostela, Spain
