Christy Doran is a computational linguist with experience in natural language processing, including spoken dialogue systems, corpora for machine learning, mining social media, named entity extraction, annotation standards, natural language generation, and parsing. Particular expertise in error-analysis of statistical and rule-based NLP tools, to improve both performance and usability. Christy currently works at Interactions, and has previously worked in the public sector (MITRE) and private sector (Intel). She has an MSE in Computer Science and PhD in Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in Computational Linguistics from Wellesley College.
