The main goal of *SEM is to provide a stable forum for the growing

processing, which has been scattered over a large array of small
workshops and conferences.

The conference program includes:

- an invited talk from Jerry Hobbs on "Anchoring Lexical Semantics
in World Knowledge"

- 21 oral presentations and 13 posters

- a shared task on Resolving the Scope and Focus of Negation, with
presentations from the organizers and 14 participants

- SemEval, the Workshop on Semantic Evaluations, featuring 8 tasks,
oral and poster presentations by 56 participating teams
