E2E NLG Challenge
Shared task on end-to-end natural language generation from dialogue acts, using unaligned data.
Shared task on end-to-end natural language generation from dialogue acts, using unaligned data.
The DSTC shared task has now been running since 2013. This year’s challenge has been renamed to Dialog System Technology Challenge, which reflects the wider scope we aim for.
The DSTC6 challenge will include 3-4 tracks, which should reflect the interests of the community. We would like to encourage you to submit a track proposal for dialog related technologies including but not limited to:
Start date flexible.
9th International Conference on Natural Language Generation (INLG 2016)
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.
Dates: 5-8 September 2016
Website: http://www.macs.hw.ac.uk/InteractionLab/INLG2016/
Submissions deadline: 16 May 2016
During the workshop+tutorial days at INLG 2016, we will host the first SIGGEN Hackathon, focusing on generation for controlled natural languages (CNLs; Kuhn 2014). Based on a particular natural language, a controlled natural language aims to preserve most of its natural properties while restricting the lexicon, syntax, and/or semantics. These restrictions make hacking together a surface realizer in 24 hours a tractable enough task that we'd like you to try it!
New trends of intelligent language processing systems are emerging, such as big data analysis, social network analysis, Internet of things, smart services, mobile computing, computer games, to name a few. Applications of these trends have been applied to various domains including education, travel and tourism, healthcare, among others.

Computational Pragmatics (CompPrag2016)
Workshop at the 38th Annual Conference of the German Linguistics Society (DGfS) in Konstanz, February 24-26.
Invited speakers
Kees van Deemter, University of Aberdeen
Noah Goodman, Stanford University
The Neukom Institute for Computational Science at Dartmouth College is pleased to announce the first annual Neukom Institute Prizes in Computational Arts. These competitions aim to inspire innovations in computational methods that generate artistic products, such as literary, musical, and visual art.
Two of this year's contests are in creative natural language generation: the "DigiLit" task, which encourages the creation of algorithms able to produce a short story, and "PoetiX", a competition in computer-generated sonnet writing in response to a prompt.
