Offer of Individual Tours

AIRTOURS-Czech Airlines has the pleasure to offer you and your accompanying persons following individual tours during ACL 2007. AIRTOURS will also provide opera and theatre tickets at its stand during the conference.

Grand City Tour of Prague

The basic standard sightseeing to help you set general impressions of the “Golden City”. This tour shows the most famous parts of Prague - the Old Town with Rudolfinum and Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and of course the most beautiful part - Hradcany including the Loretto Church, Royal Palace, St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George Church and the Golden Lane. The tour continues to the New Town to the Wenceslas Square - famous shopping area.

Prague Castle

The site of the castle was established in the 9th century. It is the seat of the President of Czech Republic and the historical and political center of the city and state. The most famous building of the Prague Castle is the Gothic St. Vitus´ Cathedral. You should not miss the Golden Lane, which is a small lane with little houses from the 16th century, built in the Gothic fortifications. Other very interesting places in the Prague Castle area are: Daliborka Tower, St. George Convent, The Powder Tower Mihulka, Castle Gallery, Basilica of St. George, Belveder - the Royal Summer Palace and of course the Royal Gardens.

Karlstejn Castle

A half day tour takes the clients approximately 35 km south-west from Prague to the medieval Castle Karlstejn. This mighty construction has been built 1348 under Emperor Charles IV. It has never been conquered and it was here, where for several centuries the Crown Jewels and all important documents were kept. The Castle entrance is reachable after a 15 minutes walk uphill from the parking lot. During a comprehensive guided tour fortifications and rooms of this impressive castle will be seen. After the visit return to Prague.

Cesky Krumlov - UNESCO Listed Town

You will drive through the charming South Bohemian countryside, full of little villages and ponds and visit the medieval town of Cesky Krumlov and the castle of the same name, the second largest castle in the Czech lands (after the Prague Castle). You will see interiors of this splendid castle as well as the old town with romantic lanes and newly reconstructed houses. You will never forget the atmosphere of this beautiful town.

Terezin Concentration Camp

The town of Terezin is located approx. 60 km north of Prague and was built in the 18th century as an ingenious system of the military fortresses for the protection of the kingdom. During the World War II when the Nazis established it as a ghetto for Jews and a concentration camp it became a place which reflects the darkest period of our Czech history. Visitors walk through the camp and hear an explanation about the history and the effects of this era on Czech Jewish history.

Jewish Prague

BUS TRANSPORT NOT AVAILABLE, MEETING POINT IN REPUBLIKA SQUARE

A unique walk through Prague's famous Jewish history. During this walking tour you will see the only Central European Jewish Town-Quarter that survived the holocaust. You will stroll through the Old Jewish Cemetery and visit some synagogues. You will then walk through Maiselova Street and reach the Old Town Square where your trip to the past ends.
