2023Q3 Reports: Secretary
Exec Election
There are two opening positions for the exec election of 2023, which include: VP-elect (from EMEA) and member at-large (from Asia-Pacific Region). The ACL nominating committee will nominate the candidates for the positions before the ACL2023 conference.
Besides the candidates nominated by the nominating committee, we also accept nominations from the floor, which can be sent to the secretary.
The election will take place later in the fall.
Exec Meetings

The 2023Q3 Exec meeting will be a hybrid meeting, held on July 9, the day of tutorials of ACL2023.
Business Meeting
The business meeting is scheduled on the second day of the conference, which includes three parts:
- 13:30-14:10: open question answering of the ACL business
- 14:15-14:45: ARR discussion
- 14:45-15:45: a panel on large language models
LTA and Recognition Dinner
The LTA and Recognition dinner will be held on the last day of the main conference, after the closing session.
Post-conference Breakfast
As usual, there will be a post-conference breakfast on July 13, which is for the organizing committees of ACL 2023 and ACL2024 to exchange experience on conference organizing.
