  • Emergency situation of EACL 2023 in Kyiv
    • Todo: Will be in touch with the EACL board about the possibility of moving EACL2023 a virtual conference.
    • Todo: Will contact the general chair, PC chairs, local organizers and Underline people to move forward the organization of the conference.


  • ACL engagement with Russian organisations
    • Todo: Will draft a statement ASAP and release the statement next week. (Tim, Iryna, Anna, Shuly, Luciana)


  • The retirement and replacement plans of Priscilla
    • Todo: Work out site for ACL2023 (Tim, Priscilla, David)
    • Todo: Interview PCO for NAACL2022 ASAP, and have the PCO on board in a couple of weeks. (David, Priscilla)


  • COI of ACL conferences and journals
    • To construct a central database of COI information, which can be shared across different conferences and journals.
    • Todo: Emily will keep moving on that, talking to the ARR editor Amanda stent and the ACL Information director Nitin Madnani. Hwee Tou will collaborate, representing the CL journal.


  • ACL academic misconduct policy
    • Todo: Will recruit representatives from each chapter to form a committee for making the academic misconduct policy.
    • Diversity of the committee is important. It should include members from different regions, from the industry, and also include student members.


  • Paper awards policies
    • There are two main concerns: (1) if we should have a larger number of awards, and (2) how to improve the anonymity in the process of selecting papers for the awards.
    • Todo: wait for Jonathan's final report. (Mohit)


  • ACL Cloud GPU program for underserved communities
    • Main idea: an infrastructure program promoted by ACL that provides support to those underserved communites.
    • There have already been such programs, which we can partner with or learn from.
    • It will be an international program, which is not limited in the US.
    • Todo: collect more NSF info on GPU programs. (Mohit)
