The organization of EACL 2017 has continued with two important highligts.

First, the contracts between ACL and the local organizers were all signed in October-November 2015. A PCO (Grupo Pacifico) has been used as an intermediary body because it was simpler on several aspects compared to signing the contracts directly with the University of Valencia. Second, the Coordinating Committee appointed the main chairs of the conference. The General Chair will be '''Mirella Lapata''' (University of Edinburgh), and the Program Co-Chairs will be '''Phil Blunsom''' (University of Oxford) and '''Alexander Koller''' (University of Potsdam). This is a very strong team. We are confident on a very successful conference in 2017.
