This conference was held jointly with CIPS, the Chinese Information Processing Society of China, the main association for Natural Language Processing in China. The conference was held on August 28-29, 2010, immediately following (and in the same venue as) COLING 2010. Plans

We are now preparing for the SIGHAN election, to take place this summer. The nominating committee is chaired by outgoing SIGHAN chair Dan Jurafsky, and will be presenting a slate of nominations and then further nominations will be opened up to the entire membership. Hsin-hsi Chen is the Chair-Elect, but all the other officer positions are up for election.
