SIGPARSE Organization

SIGPARSE elections were held in June 2025.

Membership

As of June 2026, there are 163 active members. The membership level has stayed largely unchanged since 2024, when the membership roll was reset and 162 members actively opted in to remain members of SIGPARSE.

Recent and Upcoming Events

The most recent IWPT (the SIGPARSE conference) was held in August 2025, as one of the events in SyntaxFest 2025 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. SIGPARSE additionally endorsed the four other SyntaxFest 2025 events: the 8th International Conference on Dependency Linguistics (Depling), the 23rd Workshop on Treebanks and Linguistic Theories (TLT), the 8th Universal Dependencies Workshop (UDW), and the 3rd Workshop on Quantitative Syntax (QUASY). Although SIGPARSE has endorsed SyntaxFest events in the past several years, this was the first time IWPT was held as a SyntaxFest event. Discussions are currently ongoing about the next IWPT, to be held in 2027.
