PCC report: Q1 2026

Members

We are currently recruiting.

Training

  • The current ACL Administration Team have now received training on PCC procedures.
  • We have designed a new training programme to cover the process of investigating harassment claims, with a particular focus on online harassment (which now constitutes the majority of cases we receive).
  • The training session planned for ACL2025 in Vienna had to be postponed because our announcement to PCC members was trapped in an email posting on the ACL server, which was made defunct without informing us.
  • A training session is now scheduled for ACL2026 in San Diego in July. However, we are concerned about potential US visa and immigration issues affecting the attendance of our non-US members.

Caseload

  • Of the complaints of harassment received during the reporting period, none required a formal investigation, as they were resolved by the parties involved, withdrawn, or fell outside our remit. We are in the early stages of a new case.
