Recruitment: An advertisement has been posted to recruit the 2025 batch of new EiCs, expected to start in September/October 2025. There is an emphasis on recruiting editors from India and China due to high submission volume.

Changes Made in the Past 6 Months
Starting May 2025, ARR adopted a new 10-week cycle schedule.
Background: From Oct 2022 to Feb 2025, ARR used 8-week cycles with submission deadlines on the 15th of every second month. After community feedback, the ACL Peer Review Committee recommended a change to 10-week cycles. (See committee report in the adminwiki.)
Changes to Cope with Submission Volume:
- May 2025 (EMNLP Cycle):
- Updating area keywords (Leads: Anna, Mike, EMNLP’25 PCs)
- Migration to 10-week schedule (Lead: Anna)
- New workload model inspired by CVPR 2025 — all qualified authors must review (Leads: Jonathan, Anna, Mike)
- Updating reviewer sign-up forms (Lead: Jonathan)
- Contributed to development of incentive policy in peer review
- Updated OpenReview forms and documentation (Leads: Anna, Sarv)
- Feb 2025 (ACL Cycle):
- Optimized AC assignments to reduce SAC load (Leads: Freda, Harold)
- Created workflow for ethics violation reports (Leads: Leon, Kokil, Aoife)
- Improved submission/review forms (Leads: Anna, ACL’25 and EMNLP’25 PCs)
- Revised workload requirements with ACL’25 PCs (Leads: Jing, Xiaodan)
