The number of submissions has increased by over 40% compared to last year.

To support the growth in submissions, we expanded our standing reviewer pool by 65%. We would like to thank the ARR Editors-in-Chief for their support with this expansion.

While the time to first decision for fully reviewed papers increased slightly by 7%, partly because we have additional quality controls for the reviewing process, we’ve made desk rejections much faster. The average time dropped by 36%.

New Paper Categories
We made some updates to the paper categories:
- Short papers are now capped at 20 pages.
- Long papers typically go up to 40 pages.
And we added a new Position Papers category. Two have already been accepted, and one will be presented at ACL 2025.
