**The PCC is about to launch a recruitment drive for new members.**

When the PCC was formed, partly in response to the MeToo movement, our emphasis (and training) was on face-to-face harassment, mostly of a sexual nature. Since then, we have seen a distinct shift towards online harassment, mostly not of a sexual nature. This brings with it a new set of issues related to carrying out our investigations. We have therefore initiated a new training programme to address these issues, the first phase of which was recently conducted with the ACL administrative staff, who are typically the first point of contact at ACL conferences. Training for PCC committee members is planned for 2026.
