First, looking at the first two quarters, we’ve seen strong growth in submissions—an increase by over 40% compared to last year. This shows the strong interest and engagement from our community.

To support the growth in submissions, we expanded our standing reviewer pool by 65%. We would like to thank the ARR Editors-in-Chief for their support with this expansion.

While the time to first decision for fully reviewed papers increased slightly by 7%, partly because we have additional quality controls for the reviewing process, we’ve made desk rejections much faster. The average time dropped by 36%.
