Exec elections

The elections to the following positions are ongoing:

  • ACL Secretary. Candidates: Saif Mohammad and Derek Wong
  • ACL Member. Candidates: Mausam and Roy Schwartz
  • VP Elect. Candidates: Min Zhang and Yue Zhang.

Meetings

During the first half of 2026, we have had the following meetings:

  • May 12: Meeting between the exec and EMNLP PCs to discuss the desk-rejection of papers with hallucinated references.
  • May 21: Meeting between the exec, ARR, EMNLP and AACL PCs to discuss the reviewing situation for EMNLP and AACL.
  • June 6: Meeting between the exec, ARR, and COLING and NAACL PCs to discuss whether COLING should be allowed to use ARR.
