Before starting PolyAI, Shawn worked at Google Brain and was a research consultant to the IPSoft Amelia team. He has given several invited talks at corporates including Google, Apple, Baidu, and Samsung. His work on language generation won the best paper award in both EMNLP and SigDial. He holds a PhD at Cambridge, working with Professor Steve Young at the Dialogue Systems Group.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
