Its mission is to advance research, establish standards, and promote education, collaboration, and innovation in the field. The group also emphasizes resource sharing, ethical practices, interdisciplinary cooperation, and adherence to legal and regulatory standards.<br /> <br /> Membership currently stands at 140, up from 102 in 2024.<br /> <br /> <br /> ORGANIZATION <br /> --------<br /> Following approval from the ACL Executive Committee on September 30, 2024, SIG-FinTech was initiated by founder Chung-Chi Chen. Initial efforts included the creation of the SIG website (https://sigfintech.github.io/) and the organization of the inaugural SIG-FinTech FinNLP Workshop (The 10th Workshop on Financial Technology and Natural Language Processing).<br /> <br /> We plan to issue a call for nominees for Chair and Secretary in July 2025, with elections taking place in September. The results will be announced during the FinNLP Workshop 2025 at EMNLP. The elected officers will serve for 3 years. <br /> <br /> <br /> WORKSHOP<br /> --------<br /> The first annual FinNLP Workshop (Main Track &amp; Shared Task) under SIG-FinTech will be held at EMNLP 2025.
