EMNLP-IJCNLP currently has 2,895 submissions (1,822 long and 1,073 short) under review, which is a 36% increase over EMNLP 2018 (2,117 submissions). 152 area chairs are managing submissions broadly organized into 18 areas, each overseen by a single senior area chair. Acceptance notifications are scheduled to go out on August 12. EMNLP-IJCNLP 2019 also received 110 submissions to the demo sessions, which is a considerable increase over EMNLP 2018 (77 demo submissions) as well. Additionally, seven tutorials, 17 workshops, and one co-located conference (CoNLL) will be held prior to the main conference. EMNLP-IJCNLP 2019 has three invited talks planned along with the usual complement of oral & poster presentations and a best papers session. Registrations are planned to open in mid-August.
