Out of these, 35 papers were accepted (22 long, 14 short). The final overall acceptance rate was 35.6%, 42.3% for the long papers and 28.6% for the short submissions. Some of the papers were withdrawn after acceptance, due to multiple submissions to other conferences (the 2018 schedule was particularly complicated, with significant intersection of *SEM with ACL, COLING, and other venues).
