EMNLP 2018 will take place in Brussels, Belgium at the SQUARE Brussels
meeting centre from October 31 - November 4, 2018.

EMNLP 2018 currently has 2,117 submitted (long & short) papers under
review, which is a substantial increase over EMNLP 2017 (1,466
reviewed papers). We have 60 area chairs assigned to manage the
submissions, which have been organized into 8 broad areas, with one
senior area chair designated to oversee each area. In addition, 1,447
reviewers have been recruited to review the paper submissions.
Acceptance notifications are scheduled to go out on August 10. EMNLP
2018 will also have demo sessions, and has received 77 demo
submissions, which is also a substantial increase over EMNLP 2017 (53
demo submissions).

Six tutorials, 12 workshops, and 2 co-located conferences (CoNLL and
WMT) will be held prior to the main conference. EMNLP 2018 will have
3 invited talks by Johan Bos, Julia Hirschberg, and Gideon Mann, along
with the usual complement of oral & poster presentations and a best
papers session. We are planning for registration to open in early August.
