==EACL-2020==

We received several expressions of interest to organize EACL 2020 as a response to our call late 2017. EACL 2020 will be the first in our new rhythm or conference organization (twice every three years, on years ACL main conference is not in Europe). The board is negotiating with potential organizers about dates and locations and we expect final bids soon. Deadline for final bids is March 15, 2018. The preferred date for the conference currently is March 30 until April 5, 2020.

* EACL will fund up to 15 students with a grant of up to 550 euros for ESSLLI 2018.

* The EACL board elected two new student board members to replace Florian Kunneman and John Camilleri and join Uxoa Iñurrieta. Fernando Alva Manchego (University of Sheffield, UK) and Michael Schlichtkrull (University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, also in Edinburgh) were selected after a vote within the board. We thank Florian and John for their enthusiasm and the service they provided, and Fernando and Michael for their willingness to help EACL.
