aspects of the creation and use of linguistic annotations for language data, and is especially interested in fostering&lt;br /&gt;
the identification of best practice guidelines for linguistic annotation.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
SIGANN has a mailing list (sigann@cs.vassar.edu) to communicate with members, a web page&lt;br /&gt;
(http://www.cs.vassar.edu/sigann), and a wiki (http://nlp.cs.nyu.edu/wiki/corpuswg). Approximately 200 people are on the&lt;br /&gt;
SIGANN mailing list.&lt;br /&gt;

The fourth LAW, a 1.5 day workshop held in conjunction with ACL in Uppsala, had approximately 70 participants. Nianwen&lt;br /&gt;
Xue and Massimo Poesio were the Program Committee co-chairs. We received a record number of submissions (46 long papers,&lt;br /&gt;
8 demos and 6 posters), and accepted 20 papers and 22 posters. The fifth LAW will be held in Portland in conjunction&lt;br /&gt;
with ACL 2011.&lt;br /&gt;
