This year we had a SIG meeting combined with a Workshop on Languages Resources and HLT for Semitic at LREC-2010 in Malta. The Workshop received over 30 submissions, of which some 20 were accepted; about 50 people attended the event. The Workshop included an open discussion on "Cooperation Roadmap for building sustainable Human Language Technologies for Semitic Languages", organized by Bente Maegaard, which we hope will lead to further cooperation among researchers working on Semitic languages.

We have a working web site and a low-key but active mailing list. This year we should elect Information Officers.
