New page

Demo Chairs Report (Lee, Gary Geunbae and Schulte im Walde, Sabine)

ACL 2009 demo PC accepted 11 demo papers out of 23 submissions, which is about 47% acceptance rate. The accepted papers were from geographically diverse areas: 6 from Europe, 2 from America, and 3 from Asia, and the submission distribution was 8 from Europe, 4 from America, and 11 from Asia. We didn't use START this time, but suggest to use it next time even for a small demo session. Everything went smoothly as in the agenda and we are now ready to run a nice demo session in ACL 2009. We thank 10 demo PC members for their diligence and hard works.
