The SIG is healthy. We had a SIG meeting last year as an ACL Workshop, which<br />
attracted over 30 submissions. The next meeting is planned for EACL-2009 in<br />
Athens, and a proposal will be submitted soon. We have a working web site and<br />
a low-key but active mailing list. The mailing list has recently been moved<br />
from Haifa to Malta due to popular demand; the web site will follow soon. The<br />
Chair position was up for elections this year, and Shuly Wintner was <br />
re-elected for a 3-year term.<br />
