2025Q3 Reports: Industry Track Chairs
Following the Industry Tracks at NAACL HLT and EMNLP, ACL 2025 included an industry track, the second iteration of the industry track after ACL 2023, where it was held for the first time.
The chairs were Yunyao Li (Adobe) and Georg Rehm (DFKI).
We largely followed the format established by previous industry tracks at NAACL HLT and EMNLP, including double-blind reviewing with 3 reviews per paper, three broader topical categories (Deployed, Emerging, Discovery), and 19 area chairs.
The page limit of submitted papers was 6 pages, and for final versions of accepted papers was 7 pages. A "limitations" section was optional.
Papers referred by area chairs as having potential ethical concerns would have been referred to the ACL 2025 ethics chairs for review but none of the accepted papers had any issues in that regard. Two papers were reported as a potential double-submission (this case is under investigation with the Publication Ethics Committee).
Our programme committee consisted of 453 reviewers. We received 421 submissions, and accepted a total of 108, for an overall acceptance rate of 108/421 = 25.7%.
Of the 108 papers in the proceedings, 35 were selected for oral presentation (all on-site in Vienna) and 78 as posters (in person or virtual). A few authors of oral papers had visa issues, which is why they have not been able to present in person.
We had two invited keynote speakers (Lucia Specia and Leon Derczynski) and a "Careers in NLP" panel.
