Mikel Iruskieta holds a Basque Philology degree and a PhD on Applied Linguistics at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Since 2004, he is a member of the IXA Research Group (Natural Language Processing Group) and he is also a professor of Basque Language and Communication at the Teachers Training School of Bilbao at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) since 2008.
