Main Conference: September 4-6, 2017 (Monday-Wednesday)
Workshops: September 7-8, 2017 (Thursday-Friday)

We are pleased to announce that the 11th biennial RANLP conference will take place in September 2017 at the Black Sea city of Varna. The conference programme presents competitive peer-reviewed papers reporting on the recent advances of a wide range of NLP topics. In addition, RANLP 2017 features six keynote speeches by leading experts. Poster and demo sessions will be held at the conference exhibition area. After 2009, all RANLP Proceedings are uploaded to the ACL Anthology. A Student Research Workshop will run in parallel to the main conference. The Student Research Workshop (now in its fifth edition) is a vibrant discussion forum for young researchers.

• Knowledge Resources for the Socio-Economic Sciences and Humanities (KnowRSH), organised by Dan Cristea (University of Iasi), Petya Osenova (Bulgarian Academy of Sciences), Eveline Wandl-Vogt (Austrian Academy of Sciences) and Kalliopi A. Zervanou (University of Utrecht)
• Biomedical Natural Language Processing, organised by Galia Angelova and Svetla Boytcheva (Bulgarian Academy of Sciences), Kevin Bretonnel Cohen (University of Colorado School of Medicine) and Guergana Savova (Children's Hospital Boston and Harvard Medical School)
• Language Technologies for Digital Humanities in Central and (South-)Eastern Europe, organised by Anca Dinu (University of Bucharest), Petya Osenova (Bulgarian Academy of Sciences), and Cristina Vertan (University of Hamburg)

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS, POSTERS, DEMOS
All submission will be handled in the START system. For further instructions, please follow the submission information at http://www.lml.bas.bg/ranlp2017/submissions.php. The reviewing process will be anonymous. Double submission is allowed, but authors will be asked to declare it at the time of submission. Submissions will be reviewed by at least three members of the Programme Committee. Authors of accepted papers will receive guidelines regarding how to produce camera-ready versions of their papers for inclusion in the proceedings. The full conference proceedings will be uploaded on the ACL Anthology. A printed version will be available at the conference upon request (approximate price 35-40 euro).

Conference papers submission: 5 May 2017
Conference papers acceptance notification: 26 June 2017
Camera-ready versions of the conference papers: 31 July 2017

LOCATION and TRAVEL
RANLP 2017 will be held in Varna, the largest city on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, in the Cherno More Hotel (http://www.chernomorebg.com/home). The event venue is centrally located at the entrance of the Sea Garden. Varna is a major tourist destination with an International Airport. It is also known for its Archaeological Museum, which features the oldest gold treasure in the world (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varna_Necropolis).
