The Open Knowledge Base and Question Answering (OKBQA) Workshop at COLING 2016 seeks papers describing significant research contributions to the field of knowledge and natural language interfaces. The main goal of this workshop is to join forces in developing open frameworks for knowledge extraction and question answering, to share standards, and to foster the creation of an ecosystem of tools and benchmarks.

We invite submissions on a wide range of natural language interface research, including, but not limited to:

Camera-ready copy due: October 30, 2016

All deadlines, except camera-ready deadline, are 11:59PM Pacific Time. Information about camera-ready deadline will be provided to the authors from the publisher.

== Submissions ==
OKBQA 2016 solicits the submission of original research papers in two types:
- Full paper submissions (up to 8 pages, plus two extra pages for references) must describe substantial and original work.
- Short paper submissions (up to 4 pages, plus two extra pages for references) must describe an original work which may present a small, focused contribution, a work in progress, or an interesting application case.

OKBQA accepts only electronic submissions in PDF format. Papers should be submitted through the https://www.softconf.com/coling2016/OKBQA2016/.
