Call for Participation: NAACL2016 Workshop on Semantics-Driven Statistical Machine Translation

We cordially invite you to the 2nd Workshop on Semantics-Driven Statistical Machine Translation (SedMT), to be held on June 16, 2016 in conjunction with NAACL 2016 in San Diego, USA. The goals of this workshop are to identify key challenges of exploring semantics in SMT. The program will include 4 invited keynote speeches, oral presentations, and a panel discussion.

Invited Keynotes:

- Johan Bos (University of Groningen) - Building a Large Parallel Meaning Bank
- Kyunghyun Cho (New York University) - Statistical Machine Translation without Explicit Linguistic Structures
- Jan Hajic (Charles University in Prague) - The Chimera-TectoMT architecture of Machine Translation with Deep Linguistic Analysis
- Martha Palmer (University of Colorado) - Designing Abstract Meaning Representations

Oral talks:

- Liangyou Li, Andy Way and Qun Liu - Extending Phrase-Based Translation with Dependencies by Using Graphs
- Shili Ge and Rou Song - The Naming Sharing Structure and its Cognitive Meaning in Chinese and English
