EMNLP 2015 First call for participation

EMNLP (Empirical Methods in Natural Language Processing) is the annually held conference organized by ACL SIGDAT, the Association for Computational Linguistics special interest group on linguistic data and corpus-based approaches to natural language processing. SIGDAT was founded in 1993, and is one of ACL's oldest SIGs. This year, the 20th edition of EMNLP will be held from September 17-21, 2015, in Lisbon, Portugal.

I am happy to announce the results of the elections for members of the ACL executive committee:

Marti A. Hearst (UC Berkeley, USA) has been elected as VP-Elect of ACL.

Jing-Shin Chang (National Chi Nan University, Taiwan) will be the new Information Officer and Shiqi Zhao (Baidu, China) will be the new Secretary.

Established in 2011, the ACL Fellows program recognizes ACL members whose contributions to the field have been most extraordinary.   To date, there are 32 members of the ACL that have been honored by the ACL as Fellows.  Today we are pleased to announce four new members who have been granted Fellow status, in recognition of their long standing contribution to the field of Computational Linguistics.  Please join us in congratulating our 2015 Fellows for their achievements.  They are (in alphab
