I am Wei Xu from University of Pennsylvania, and the publicity chair of NAACL 2016. My research interest is centered around Natural Language Processing, with an emphasis on data-driven approaches for paraphrase, social media and information extraction. I create models to help people digest large amount of texts efficiently, analyze information in social media, read and write in new languages or different styles (e.g. text simplification).

I would like to update the pages about the duties of publicity chair, and may ask some former publicity chairs to help refine it . The current one is from 2009 and kind of out-of-date.
