Martin Benjamin is a multilingual lexicographer and language technologist who is trained neither as a computer scientist nor a linguist. He directs the Kamusi Project, an international effort to gather and disseminate linguistic data for human and machine use, for as many languages as possible. He is also the author of Teach You Backwards: An In-Depth Study of Google Translate for 103 Languages, the first examination of the ubiquitous translation service across its entire roster.
